Favorite Photos: The Shop Signs of Austria

This week’s #FriFotos theme is “for sale” and while that seemed challenging at first, a quick review of my photographs revealed the perfect solution. Nicole and I loved all the little shops that line the long, narrow streets of Innsbruck and Salzburg, Austria. And we loved the artistic wrought iron signs used to mark each shop. Somehow, the big box stores down the street at my local shopping center just don’t have the same appeal. In Salzburg, even McDonald’s gets classy signage.

  1. Nice – love the quirky differences like this.

Never realised Innsbruck was so nice, we stayed in a tiny village called Götzens and had to go into the city to find a restaurant…. Ended up lost in some characterless residential area of high rises and getting a pizza. Didn’t make for a great first impression!

This has made me think it may be worth another look :)

    • I loved Innsbruck! We only spent a day there (it wasn’t a priority on our itinerary), and I wish we had been there longer. It’s a very cool, livable city.
